Jennifer Aniston has been asked to present an award at the Oscars, and she’s being encouraged by John Mayer to go. She’s also banking on the success of her next movie He’s Just Not That Into You to be number one that weekend, so she can steal the spotlight from nominees Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, according to Star:
“You’ve got to go,” John told Jen. “Why do you hide in this town? You have every reason to be there. By presenting at the Oscars, you’ll tell the world: ‘I don’t care about Brad and Angie. I belong here, too.’ Jen is taking back ownership of her life. She’s gotta move on from this Brad and Angie thing. This is the perfect time, and I’ll be there to protect her.”
John also hinted to his friend, “Trust me, even if Brad and Angie both win Oscars, that won’t be the story of the night.”
Let’s see: In one corner you’ve got Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie who are nominated for Oscars in critically-acclaimed films. In the other is Jennifer Aniston who’s going to read from an envelope while hypothetically having the number one movie in the coldest fucking month of the year. I don’t want to say this is exactly like the time I cried naked outside my ex’s window until she called the cops, but I feel like I’m having a flashback just reading this.

After getting pampered at the hair salon, the Desperate Housewives star made her way over to her restaurant, Beso, for the second night in a row. People spotted her working the dining room and introducing herself to customers throughout the night. Eva, 33, walked up to Tina Simpson’s table, and even took pictures with some at their tables. She then headed upstairs to the Kiss Lounge for a meeting with her business partners JT Torregiani and celeb chef Todd English.

The 27-year-old actress to her MySpace blog to defend herself after making comments when she asked a reporter what characteristic he liked most about new U.S. President Barack Obama. When he refused to answer on the basis that he was a journalist, she joked, “That’s it, be neutral. Be Sweden about it.”
Politically commentator Bill O’Reilly and TMZ then both made fun of Alba, insisting she meant Switzerland, not Sweden.
Alba then responded, “Last week, Mr. Bill O’Reilly and some really classy sites (i.e.TMZ) insinuated I was dumb by claiming Sweden was a neutral country. I appreciate the fact that he is a news anchor and that gossip sites are inundated with intelligent reporting, but seriously people…it’s so sad to me that you think the only neutral country during WWII was Switzerland.” Alba then referenced Wikipedia to support her claim.

Former Disney stars Hilary Duff and Kevin Zegers are in negotiations to play infamous 1930s bank robbers Bonnie and Clyde in the the indie drama, The Story of Bonnie and Clyde
Hilary, 21, and Kevin, 24, would headline the new adaptation of the story of Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow rather than a remake of the 1967 classic film starring Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty.
Zegers was in films such as The Jane Austen Book Club and Transamerica. The Duffster was most recently seen in War, Inc.

Maggie Gyllenhaal helps Fisher-Price launch Precious Planet and donates $250,000 to the Wildlife Conservation Society at Central Park Zoo on Tuesday (January 27) in New York City.
The Precious Planet Collection consists of a wide selection of baby gear including a high chair, gym, cradle swing, bouncer, jumperoo, potty, mobile, tub, bedding and more.
“I think it’s important to show them how we can and how we must co-exist. They are learning to respect the planet,” Maggie said. “Fisher-Price is such a big part of everyone’s childhood and I am so happy to join forces with them in presenting this generous donation in support of the Wildlife Conservation Society.
